iPhone Dev Team released yesterday iPhone 3G version unlock program yellowsn0w.
Yellowsn0w works on with base-band 02.28.00 and the end users have to upgrade their firmware to the latest version – 2.2, which means the unlock program is available to all iPhone 3G versions. In order to unlock iPhone 3G the following steps are to be performed.
1. Use iTunes to upgrade to the latest firmware version
2. Jailbreak by using QuickPwn
3. Use Cydia or Installer to install yellowsn0w
Now you can use any SIM on your iPhone 3G.
