The famous Iphone dev-team announced yesterday that they had successfully cracked Apple’s iphone 3G version and now you can use other SIM in your iphone 3G version.
It’s said that iphone dev-team is to release on 31st Dec 2008 the technical data of the unlocked iphone 3G versions, but it’s only available to firmware version 2.11.07 or earlier. Iphone dev-team is also going to release the unlock program so that the end users can use their 3G iphone freely.
Iphone dev-team was able to break in the base band processor a few months ago and had access to the core of iphone 3G version; hence they could manipulate the hardware.
Also a few days after the release of firmware version 2.2 for 3G iphone, iphone dev-team released Pwnage tool and Quickpwn with which the users can gain access to the file system and install third-party applications.
