How to change the function of key 0 of Symbian mobile

This is a little tutorial tells you how to change the function of pressing key 0 long without Rompatcher (it’s used to hack a Symbian cell phone, so people can install any apps without needing to sign them first).

1. Copy 101F8783.txt in the directory of Z:private10202be9 to your computer and open it.

2. Locate 0×6 int2684716090 cap_rd=alwayspass cap_wr=alwaysfail, where 2684716090 is the UID of the system browser in cecimal, translate it to hexadecimal: 10008D39.

3. Now find the UID of any program which you want to replace the original program. For example the UID of UCWEB is 0xA000998F in hexadecimal, change it to decimal: 2684393871. Now change 2684716090 to any UID (for instance 2684393871) you like and save the file.

4. Finally move the file to the original folder, that is Z:private10202be9 and replace the original file, now reboot your cell phone.

After boot up your mobile phone, press key 0 for at least three seconds and you will find the program you wanted open, it’s really cool. I changed the UID to 268458321 and successfully run Bluetooth by pressing key 0.

Back up before you make any changes in case it might cause any damage to your cell phone.
